Dark Harbor is Southern California’s most haunted Halloween event!
Each fall the Queen Mary transforms the ship and surrounding harbor into a massive Halloween festival featuring haunted mazes, hundreds of monsters, immersive attractions, live entertainment, VIP experiences, themed bars and lounges, carnival rides, festive eats and treats, instagrammable moments and more!
Our festival format allows you to pick and choose from a variety of attractions and experiences from terrifying mazes aboard the notoriously haunted Queen Mary to festival favorites like the Sinister Swings!
Dark Harbor is open select nights from September 20th through November 2.

THE RULES
We want everyone to have a safe, fun time and ask that you please follow these rules:
- Do not touch or harass performers or staff
- No cursing or rowdy behavior
- No weapons (guns, knives, mace, pepper spray, etc.)
- No costumes, masks, face paint, props or handheld items
- No Pens, markers, sharpies or gum
- No Flash Photography
KNOW BEFORE YOU GO
- There is no reentry.
- Sandals, flip-flops, open-toed shoes, and high heels are highly discouraged.
- Smoking is permitted only in designated areas.
- Some experiences and vendors are cashless and there is no ATM on site.
- We recommend purchasing parking in advance and arriving one hour earlier than the entry time listed on your ticket to allow time for traffic and parking.
- Dark Harbor is recommended for kids 13 and older. Kids under the age of seven (7) are not permitted in the haunted mazes.
- Some ride and attraction queues will close one hour prior to the closing time for the event. There are no refunds for missed attractions or experiences.
- No animals are allowed, except for service animals.

Dark Harbor takes place at the iconic Queen Mary in Long Beach, CA.
Our festival format allows you to pick and choose from a variety of attractions and experiences including haunted mazes, immersive attractions, themed bars and lounges, live performances, carnival rides, experiences aboard the Queen Mary and more. Seasonal treats and eats are also available for purchase throughout the festival.
Because you’ll pick and choose which attractions and experiences to explore, every visit to Dark Harbor will be different. On average, you should expect to spend two to three hours at the festival, but your evening may be longer or shorter.
There is no event reentry. Smoking is permitted only in designated areas.
If you have to ask, it’s best that you leave it in the car or, better yet, at home. We are dedicated to providing a safe, fun experience for every visitor. Our security team checks all bags for potentially dangerous and prohibited objects and all guests must pass through a metal detector before entering the festival.
- Weapons of any kind, pepper spray, pocket knives, lighters, flashlights, and any potentially dangerous objects are not permitted inside the festival. We have a strict “no guns” policy, which means that even persons licensed to carry a firearm, including off-duty law enforcement officers, will not be permitted to bring their weapon into the festival (and we can’t hold them for you, either).
- Cameras are permitted, but tripods, monopods, easels, and other photography equipment are not permitted. Drones are not permitted. Lighting equipment is not permitted, nor is flash photography.
- Outside food and beverages are not permitted.
- Costumes, masks, face paint, props and handheld items are not permitted.
- Pens, markers, sharpies and gum are not permitted.
We reserve the right to prohibit any other item not listed above that we determine may be harmful or disruptive, in our sole and absolute discretion. Confiscated items will not be returned.
Dark Harbor has a zero-tolerance policy for troublemakers. Troublemakers will be ejected from the festival without refund.

Bags must be 6″ x 6″ x 8″ or smaller.
All bags and purses are subject to additional inspection by our security team. No larger bags or backpacks will be allowed.
There are no age restrictions to enter the event, however, Dark Harbor is recommended for kids 13 and older. Kids under the age of seven 7 are not permitted in the haunted mazes.
Themed bars and lounges at the festival are open to guests of all ages; however, you must be 21 or older and show a valid photo ID to purchase or consume alcohol. If you plan to consume alcohol at the festival, please visit the ID Check Station located immediately after security check at the festival entrance.
All themed bars and lounges offer mocktails and non-alcoholic beverage options!
Dark Harbor runs rain or shine. Please dress for the weather and be sure to wear appropriate footwear. Sandals, flip-flops, open-toed shoes, and high heels are highly discouraged. Parts of the event take place inside; however, some attractions are outdoors, and the mazes on the ship are not climate controlled.
Yes! Themed bars and lounges at the festival are open to guests of all ages; however, you must be 21 or older and show a valid photo ID to purchase or consume alcohol. Once inside the festival, you are welcome to stay for the entire evening; however, there is no reentry. Smoking is permitted only in designated areas.
Yes. We reserve the right to refuse admittance to anybody for any reason.
We do not allow foul language, obscene behavior, weapons, alcohol, drugs, or any other illicit objects. We reserve the right to deny admission to or remove any person wearing attire that we consider inappropriate or attire that could detract from the experience of other Guests. Visible tattoos that could be considered inappropriate, such as those containing objectionable language or designs, are not permitted.
No, there are no ins and outs. Your Dark Harbor experience ends when you walk outside of our gates…assuming you’re able to escape our terrifying monsters.
Yes, Dark Harbor features a variety of festival style food and beverage offerings, from snacks to dinner. In addition, Dark Harbor features themed bars and lounges serving a variety of alcoholic beverages, including beer and signature cocktails, and mocktails. Last call is one hour prior to the close of the festival.
Is Dark Harbor accessible?
We offer a wide range of services for our visitors and strive to provide an excellent experience for everyone attending Dark Harbor.
Arrival & Parking
A limited amount of accessible parking is located on-site at the Queen Mary near the event entrance for visitors who have a valid disabled person plate or placard. Please ask a member of our staff for assistance at the main parking gates when you arrive and they will direct you to the accessible parking spaces.
All parking at Dark Harbor is paid. Those in need of accessible parking must have a General Parking Pass. Purchase your general parking pass online now and save $5! Only one parking pass is needed per vehicle, regardless of the number of people in the vehicle.

Additionally, there is a drop off / pick up zone located near the event entrance. This zone is for active loading and unloading only. No cars or buses will be permitted to wait in this area.
Climate
Since most of the festival is not climate controlled, we recommend checking the forecast on the day of your visit to prepare appropriately for the weather. Sandals, flip-flops, open-toed shoes and high heels are strongly discouraged.
Terrain & Walking Surfaces
Dark Harbor has both indoor and outdoor spaces for guests to explore. The outdoor spaces are mostly blacktop, with occasional wood chipped areas. Inside the ship the floors are concrete. Due to the historic nature of the property, both inside and outside, terrain can occasionally be uneven.
All mazes and experiences in the Harbor except for Anchor Axe are accessible. Due to the historic nature of the ship; the Observation Deck, Feast and Lullaby are not accessible; however, our staff at the entrances to these experiences are available to assist guests will mobility disabilities with alternate experiences.
