Dark Harbor is Southern California’s most haunted Halloween event!
Each fall the Queen Mary transforms the ship and surrounding harbor into a massive Halloween festival featuring haunted mazes, hundreds of monsters, immersive attractions, live entertainment, VIP experiences, themed bars and lounges, carnival rides, festive eats and treats, instagrammable moments and more!
Our festival format allows you to pick and choose from a variety of attractions and experiences from terrifying mazes aboard the notoriously haunted Queen Mary to festival favorites like the Sinister Swings!

In the depths of the Queen Mary’s first-class swimming pool, the sinisterly playful ghost of Scary Mary rises to accost passengers and guide them toward a watery abyss – a vortex that leads to the chilling underworld.

The wicked spirits of a sadistic surgeon and his accomplice in life, Graceful Gale, torment the living with ghastly echoes of their gruesome procedures. Their path of destruction stretches from the First-Class decks to the eerie depths deep inside the bowels of the Queen Mary as they accost the living with their unrelenting rage.
While the spectacle of Dr. Edwin Master’s specialized surgeries in the operating theater dazzles spectators, but they have no idea what’s happening below in the third class corridors. Injustice will not stand for long. Will the third class patients overthrow this maniacal medic or will he and Gale continue their gory game in this violent, disturbing and macabre masquerade?
Reimagined for 2024!
Step inside the backend of the ship’s kitchen to witness the origin story of The Chef, who began his career as a young, ambitious and handsome Butcher with his eye on the head chef role aboard the luxury cruise liner. After chopping up flesh for years on the ship, The Butcher grew resentful towards the ungrateful First Class Passengers who consumed his meticulously prepared meats. Frustrated, The Butcher takes recipe creation efforts into his own bloody hands by adding a special ingredient that no one can quite put their finger on. Will you be able to escape the wrath of The Butcher or will you be served up next?
After completing the maze, the Feast path descends into the depths of the historic Engine Room where guests can hear the last whispers of Half Hatch Henry while walking through Door 13 if they dare.

This Halloween carnival is no ordinary circus—it’s a trap, a deadly labyrinth of jack o’lanterns designed to ensnare the souls of the innocent. The Ringmaster, with their hypnotic charisma and enchanting performances, lures the unsuspecting into this dark maze, where doom awaits. Proudly displayed within the Circus is the Ringmaster’s sinister collection of cursed objects, amassed over the ages. Learn the tale of the Pumpkin Carver, see the death defying stunts and avoid the Ringmaster’s Henchies at all costs!
Double Maze
All new for 2024!
The mystery behind what happened in the infamous stateroom, B340 continues… In the first half, the notorious murderer, Samuel the Savage has been arrested, dragged off the ship and thrown into a prison cell. The heavy iron door slammed shut behind him, but the rusted shackles inside this seaside village jail are no match for the notorious criminal. In the second half, he escapes his cell scavenging through the small town – YOU are now in his footsteps trying to avoid the long eye of the law as you seek safe haven, hiding places and if nothing else, REVENGE! How does it feel to step into the shoes of Samuel the Savage? Will you listen to the twisted voices in your head or can you resist the urge to KILL in Breakout! and On The Run!

The Summoning of Samuel
Located inside the Spirits of Dark Harbor.
Step into the eerie atmosphere of our Summoning circle, where the veil between the living and the dead grows thin. Guided by our gifted psychic Lady Mabel, participants will gather around a dimly lit table adorned with flickering candles and artifacts from the ship herself. As Lady Mabel begins the ritual, a chilling silence fills the room, broken only by the soft, haunting melodies playing in the background. With each whispered incantation, the presence of a malevolent spirit draws closer. The psychic summons forth the vengeful ghost of a notorious murderer, whose restless soul seeks retribution. Brace yourself for an unforgettable ten minute experience of spine-tingling suspense and supernatural encounters, where the boundary between life and death is perilously blurred.

Secret Speakeasies
Secret speakeasies are hidden inside and around Dark Harbor’s mazes and attractions.
The location of these speakeasies is a secret. They don’t have a sign and they don’t appear on the Dark Harbor map. But if you’d like a clue about their whereabouts, we suggest booking an appointment with Lady Mabel. She might have some clues to point you in the right direction…
Access to Dark Harbor’s secret speakeasies is limited to persons possessing one of Lady Mabel’s mystic tokens. Some of these tokens are given out each night at the Maiden Voyage Launch Party, which takes place in the ShipYard at 8:08 pm.
If you’d like to guarantee access, you can make an appointment to see Lady Mabel for an “astrology reading.”
Lady Mabel’s Foresight Four Pack
The Foresight Four Pack includes a group astrology reading with Lady Mabel herself and four speakeasy tokens. Included with VIP admission Available exclusively online for purchase as an a la carte as an upgrade. Individual tokens are also available for purchase at the event, subject to availability.
Each token admits one person. Tokens only guarantee entry when you find an open Speakeasy. A minimum of four Speakeasies are open each night. There are no refunds for missed attractions or experiences, including speakeasies.
SPIRITS OF DARK HARBOR
Step aboard the Queen Mary, learn about the ship’s fascinating history and grab a cocktail or mocktail at the Spirits Bar while you explore the real stories of paranormal experiences and ghost sightings about this notoriously haunted ship and learn how they’ve inspired the stories and characters of Dark Harbor. Included with all admission types.
THE OBSERVATION DECK
Rub elbows with the first-class at this upscale bar exclusively for Evil Express and VIP Ticket holders. The Observation Deck features stunning views of Dark Harbor from the ship’s T-Bridge, exclusive photo opportunities, pop-up character appearances, relaxed seating and an elevated full-service bar with beer, wine, and exclusive cocktails for purchase. The Observation Deck opens at 8 pm nightly. Included with Evil Express and VIP Admission. Not available for ala carte purchase. Admission does not include food or beverages. Due to the historic nature of the ship, this experience is not accessible.
ANCHOR AXE
Head to the ShipYard to experience the thrill of axe throwing at Anchor Axe! Set against a backdrop of the towering Queen Mary and rustic docks, test your precision and strength by hurling axes at wooden targets. Perfect for both beginners and seasoned throwers, this exhilarating experience combines skill and fun. Gather your crew, aim true, and see who can hit the bullseye at Anchor Axe! This experience can be purchased a la carte as an upgrade. Not included in any admission type.
PIRATE'S PLUNDER SHOOTOUT!
Test your aim as you fend off swashbuckling foes and hunt for hidden treasure as you prove your sharpshooting skills in this action-packed, pirate-themed shooting game. Are you ready to conquer the high seas? This experience can be purchased a la carte as an upgrade. Not included in any admission type.
ENTERTAINMENT
Dark Harbor features a variety of live entertainment both on stage and strolling throughout the festival.
Maiden Voyage Launch Party
Join the Captain in the ShipYard at 8:08 pm to experience the Maiden Voyage Launch Party. This ghoulish spectacle is not to be missed! The Captain will call upon his minions and monsters to rise from their graves, slide into the streets and terrify the guests of Dark Harbor! This only happens once a night, so don’t be late! Or else…
FINAL VOYAGE
End your night in the ShipYard with a dance party celebrating The Queen Mary’s final voyage to Long Beach, which included stops in Brazil, Mexico and Peru. The Final Voyage begins one hour before the festival closes and features modern Latin music, reggaeton and an appearance by el Diablo.
DARK HARBOR SLIDERS
The legendary Queen Mary’s Dark Harbor sliders return for nightly performances in the Seaside Village at 9 pm and 11 pm.
FIRE SPINNERS
Fire Spinners perform nightly on the fire stage, with additional pop up performances on the Seaside Stage and in Voodoo Bayou.
VOODOO SOUND COMPANY
This popular percussion trio performs nightly with the Voodoo Priestess in the Voodoo Bayou.

Scary Mary’s Ghost Rider
This unique completely restored carousel created exclusively for Dark Harbor features ghostly white horses with black light responsive eyes that respond to a custom lighting package featuring blacklights throughout the inside, outside, and center. It’s truly one of a kind!

Black Widow
This classic spinning thrill ride also known as The Spider continues to be a popular ride at many seaside amusement piers.

Get a birds eye view of the entire DARK harbor from the top of the giant Rampage Double Wheel. It’s the only one of its kind in western United States.
